FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions and Important Information.
Shipping
Domestic Australia Shipping.
Orders will usually be processed within 2 business days and will be posted via Australia Post or Sendle.
FREE Shipping Offer
Free shipping is unfortunately not applied to precious metals such as gold, platinum and silver, due to the small margins on these products.
Free shipping is also not available for Long/Bulk trade metals due to the very high postage costs, as without charging for these as normal items, we could not ship them to you.
Free shipping applies to all non gold/silver and non-bulky items.
International Shipping
Rates for shipping internationally are currently very high for weights over 1kg (2.2lbs). If items are less than 20mm in diameter, so coins and small ingots for example, they may fit into letter postage which is much cheaper.
International Parcel shipping costs:
Up to 500g (1.1lbs) - $24.00
Up to 1000g (2.2lbs) - $36.90
Up to 2000g (4.4lbs)- $62.70
Up to 5000g (11lbs)- $92.70
International Letter shipping costs:
Up to 250g (0.55lbs) - $13.99
Up to 500g (1.1lbs) - $18.00
We would love any feedback or suggestions on parcel carriers that may offer cheaper international shipping so please send us an email with shipping details if you find cheaper.
Insurance - Coverage up to $200 is $4 extra. For each $100 extra coverage it costs $4 more. This is a direct charge by the carrier - we just pass along the cost.
Signature on Delivery - $5 extra.
Returns
We accept returns for obvious errors or major flaws in any product within 30 days. You can start a returns process by contacting us via the contact page.
We take care to photograph all custom products so you can see them clearly before purchasing. Very small defects are common in hand produced products like ingots, so returns for this and change of mind will not be accepted.
In the event a return is accepted where a product is clearly not the correct item or faulty, we will offer a replacement, or if not replaceable immediately a full refund for the item cost. Buyers will be responsible for posting the items back to Great White Bullion to resolve the refund, at their cost.
FAQ Questions
1. Where are the ingots and coins made?
All bullion products including ingots and coins are melted and forged in Perth, Western Australia. We use two gas furnaces to melt and mold all cast products.
2. How long have you been in business?
Great White Bullion officially begun with the website launch in early 2021. Work started in 2019 on original furnace construction, but did not progress to products for sale until the website launch.
3. What separates you from the competition?
We offer a variety of metal and alloy ingots that are hard to find for sale, are handmade in Australia and look great. We love making bullion products and started with copper ingots before the business was started. This quickly grew to include alloys such as Nordic Gold and Aluminium Bronze, and this then led to growing interest in what we were producing.
We want to make great bullion products that people have been looking for, but unable to get until now. Our Copper Bullion Coins which will be the next series of products will feature unique Australian Flora and Fauna as a series, and will be custom in their design and as a collection - something special for bullion collectors and stackers.
