Powerful omens
The dragon and qilin are mythological creatures that have been embraced in Chinese culture for thousands of years. Revered as a symbol of imperial authority, the wise dragon is popularly believed to offer humanity enlightened guidance and protection. Its companion, the gentle, horse-shaped qilin, is an omen of happiness and is understood to attract good luck, protection and successful children.

Complementary nature
The coin depicts a dragon and a qilin in colour, with stylised clouds in the background. Underlining their complementary nature, the creatures surround a bagua, a motif incorporating eight Taoist trigrams representing the yin and yang present in all things. At the heart of the design is a taijitu, a black and white symbol that denotes the interdependence of yin and yang energy.

Presentation packaging
Accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, the coin is housed in a classic display case and illustrated shipper.
